12/07/10: PHAB is pleased to announce today's launch of the National Call for Tribal Input on the proposed Tribal public health department accreditation standards and measures. The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) will collect feedback online through January 14, 2011 to ensure Tribes have the opportunity to review and provide comment on the proposed materials. PHAB and NIHB conducted a joint webinar on December 14 at 3:30pm ET to field questions about the National Call for Tribal Input.

09/01/10: PHAB has selected 12 members to serve on the Tribal Standards Workgroup. The workgroup will meet later this month to start the development of a tribal set of standards, measures, documentation, and interpretation guidance, based on PHAB’s current standards.

11/4/09: PHAB welcomes the thirty beta test sites to Washington, DC from November 4-5 for the kick-off beta test training.
09/18/09: PHAB announced the selection of the 30 health departments from across the United States to test the public health department accreditation program. Read press release.
10/26/09: PHAB is proud to announce that Donna E. Davis, EdD, MPH, will be the new Director of Public and Constituent Relations at the Public Health Accreditation Board.
06/19/09: The PHAB Board of Directors adopted an assessment process for the accreditation program. The process was developed by the PHAB Assessment Process Workgroup and will be used in the PHAB beta test. Assessment Process
07/16/09: The PHAB Board of Directors adopted Proposed State and Local Standards, Measures, and Guidance for Documentation and a Glossary of Terms for use in the beta test, to begin in the fall of 2009.
